"TIMING IS EVERYTHING"

Often in life, timing is everything. Split second intervals can lead to changes that resonate themselves over a lifetime. The importance of this split-second timing is especially true in the world of collecting classic cars and the inherent “chase” that comes along with finding those special parts.

This BMW Z3 Roadster is a smart, low-mileage sports car presented in sound condition. It is powered by the 2.8-litre M52 straight-six producing around 190hp, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. The odometer indicates just 28,000 miles from new.

An original UK model registered in 1999, the car remained with its original keeper until 2010. It was then acquired by the us and has sat in the collection for the past 12 years.

The bodywork is all in very good order, HPI clear, with all the correct panel gaps. Finished in the best colour Boston Green and presents very well, with a smooth and glossy appearance around the panels.

All of the light lenses are original and undamaged, body trims remain in great shape, no damage to the front rear or rear bumpers, and still retains the BMW Z3 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.

The folding black roof is in good shape. It fits well, is free of rips, tears, and other damage, and opens and closes as it should.

The Tan interior is in excellent condition and keeping with the mileage, leather trim around the gear knob is excellent with no fraying of the stitching, the same can be said for the M-Sport steering wheel.

The rest of the interior is simple and elegant and looking nearly as good now as it did when it was first installed almost 21 years ago.

The boot, which is home to the, battery and toolkit is clean and well ordered.

The 190 hp 6-cylinder 2.8-litre engine has been completely checked in recent times without finding problems as you would expect from a vehicle with such low mileage, the engine bay is really clean, there aren’t traces of oil leaks or oxidation. All the correct decals are there. The steering rods are clean and intact, and along the bottom of the doors, ou wont see worrying signs of rust. The exhaust doesn’t have cracks or bent areas, and the bushings are still good. The electrical system – like the mechanical parts – has been checked looking for issues, but there aren’t any.

This 2.8 Z3 is in fantastic, low mileage condition and sits as part of the Heroes & History private car collection.
